Indian Premiere League - Scam

Recently we have all seen plenty of news coming out in the news paper about the IPL Scam which has accounted for an Union Cabinet Minister Sasi Tharur and IPL Chairman Lalith Modi for showing the whole world that money and domination can bring about the differences and down fall of a great event like IPL over a new IPL franchise issue.

Actually Mr. Lalith Modi should be appreciated for bringing India a live, commercial, league based and colourful international tournament in a grand manner which even our neighbours(Pakistan, China and Srilanka) would feel envy on India.

Though the IPL management dominated by Lalith Modi on all the issues including the results of the matches, the envy of other franchise owners involved has brought the disrepute and the down fall of the IPL event as the domination of Lalith Modi in handling some important issues would not have been in their favour.

Now for the viewers and supporters of this very league have a big doubt that whether is it worth watching the IPL anymore despite that the IPL is colourful, eventful, star studded and very interesting, but is lacking the spirit of killer instinct and winning.

Team Example: Mumbai Indians lost to Chennai Super Kings in the Finals.

Individual Example: (Finals:Rayudu, Saurab, Malinga) (Through out the tournament: Yuvaraj Singh, Gambir, Shewag)

The Finals of IPL3 had all the drama except the killer Instinct and winning spirit from the Mumbai Indians ( Courtesy...Malinga, Rayudu and Saurab) on the big stage like finals of IPL3 creats a doubt in our mind that the result is controlled by some one.

In Cricket for a Champion and star performer at the international level there is a slim line will only be bifurcating them to make their team win or lose. If he is not allowed to win the match for his team, because the results which are decided through betting by some one then his job becomes very difficult. When he is expected to win the game for his team, as he is performing in the expected line he should faulter and lose the match, but he will be covered and supported by critics and media to a great extent for losing the match in the unexpected line.

Any way IPL is a great show biz and a colourful event. Those who are earning money through IPL will earn their money. We are getting the money's worth by seeing the best actions from individuals and some team performances. But if the Killer instinct and winning spirit is not seen with the players then it is not worth seeing or supporting our team in the IPL.

At present the IPL is earning the worth for the players and the franchise owners to a great extent but when are we going to get the real worth, which remains to be seen.
